July 2010 - August 2012Served an adminstrative role as Chair of large inter-disciplinary (psychology, sociology, social work and gerontology) department of approximately 25 full-time faculty and 15 part-time faculty. Student enrollment for combined disciplines totaled about 700. Provided leadership and oversight of faculty and academic programs aimed to attract evening/weekend, distance learning and traditional students.

July 2010Taught upper-division classes on social work practice, policy and professional development. Developed grant proposals as team lead with Trans-disciplinary group of faculty. Most successful effort resulted in award to University's Center for Community Safety to conduct a state-wide assessment of disproportionate minority contact (dmc) in the juvenile justice system. This effort lead to inter-face with state and national policy makers aimed at reducing dmc.
